Double threat by Dark Alex. Both 3.40 OE-A and 3.30 OE-A2 have been released at the same time. 3.30 is the same as 3.40 except that 3.40 comes with everything that Sony put into it.
Check it out Here (via QJ)

Dark_AleX has finally released the latest in his series of Open Edition firmware – the much-awaited 3.30 Open Edition Rev A! This is serious cause for celebration especially after days of waiting for DaX to finally give word on what’s up with his work (and what’s up with his PSP).
3.30 OE-A retains all of the original Sony 3.30 FW functions, but because Dark_AleX is THE man, he’s added a lot of features and changes to his latest custom FW.
* Complete PSOne (PS1) game library support
* Homebrew support under either 1.50 or 3.30 kernel
* Region spoofing
* Patched a protection that prevents the FW to load higher firmware modules
* Fixed a bug that could have caused instability in 3.10 OE after recovering from sleep mode
DAX says this doesn’t support popsloader at the moment due to “Sony rearranging again the module list of pspbtcnf_pops”, but rest assured that the great dev will be making a new version that will support all current pops in 3.10 OE, 3.30 OE and maybe 3.03 OE-C
For those who have memory sticks that are too small, another USB host has been released. This time for 3.10 OE-A users. Basically it runs your ISO’s and CSO’s off of your hard drive through your USB cable. The tutorial and files can be found in the forum. See you there

Need N64 roms? I’m too lazy and busy (bad combo right there) to upload any of mine. Go to http://romhustler.net for the greatest n64 collection I have found online to date. They host all their own files so no waitng for a slot or limit. Enjoy my greatest n64 rom secret.

StrmnNrmn has released the most anticipated of Daedalus today which brings us to the 9th release of this wonderful N64 emulator. I literally ran to find my PSP and it’s charger in anticipation for this release earlier in the week and am glad I have it ready for such. This emulator has come a very long way since the initial release and it really does show the second you get into a game. For comparison I went with Super Mario 64 and tested out the framerate of which we all love.
The second Mario pops out of his beloved green tube the game speed seems to be running at full speed (not quite there but very close). With sound enabled it seemed to lag slightly, but without sound seemed to run extremely fast. I can not give any framerate counts as there was no visible FPS counter, but it is indeed at a playable speed..until you get into a level. I immediately entered the infamous bomb stage and went running around and noticed a slight speed increase but not by much. The graphical glitches in the game all seem to have been rid of without any loss in speed.
StrmnNrmn has worked extremely hard on this release and I think we all owe him a huge “thanks” for continuing his development on the N64 emulator. Sony has already beaten us to a working PSX emulator, but hopefully we can get Mario on the PSP at full speed soon enough to show all our friends that Sony and Nintendo can once again work together! The general, noticeable changes in this release include -
* Faster
* New UI
* Audio
* Various graphical fixes
