Dark_AleX has finally released the latest in his series of Open Edition firmware – the much-awaited 3.30 Open Edition Rev A! This is serious cause for celebration especially after days of waiting for DaX to finally give word on what’s up with his work (and what’s up with his PSP).
3.30 OE-A retains all of the original Sony 3.30 FW functions, but because Dark_AleX is THE man, he’s added a lot of features and changes to his latest custom FW.
* Complete PSOne (PS1) game library support
* Homebrew support under either 1.50 or 3.30 kernel
* Region spoofing
* Patched a protection that prevents the FW to load higher firmware modules
* Fixed a bug that could have caused instability in 3.10 OE after recovering from sleep mode
DAX says this doesn’t support popsloader at the moment due to “Sony rearranging again the module list of pspbtcnf_pops”, but rest assured that the great dev will be making a new version that will support all current pops in 3.10 OE, 3.30 OE and maybe 3.03 OE-C
For those who have memory sticks that are too small, another USB host has been released. This time for 3.10 OE-A users. Basically it runs your ISO’s and CSO’s off of your hard drive through your USB cable. The tutorial and files can be found in the forum. See you there

Need N64 roms? I’m too lazy and busy (bad combo right there) to upload any of mine. Go to http://romhustler.net for the greatest n64 collection I have found online to date. They host all their own files so no waitng for a slot or limit. Enjoy my greatest n64 rom secret.

StrmnNrmn has released the most anticipated of Daedalus today which brings us to the 9th release of this wonderful N64 emulator. I literally ran to find my PSP and it’s charger in anticipation for this release earlier in the week and am glad I have it ready for such. This emulator has come a very long way since the initial release and it really does show the second you get into a game. For comparison I went with Super Mario 64 and tested out the framerate of which we all love.
The second Mario pops out of his beloved green tube the game speed seems to be running at full speed (not quite there but very close). With sound enabled it seemed to lag slightly, but without sound seemed to run extremely fast. I can not give any framerate counts as there was no visible FPS counter, but it is indeed at a playable speed..until you get into a level. I immediately entered the infamous bomb stage and went running around and noticed a slight speed increase but not by much. The graphical glitches in the game all seem to have been rid of without any loss in speed.
StrmnNrmn has worked extremely hard on this release and I think we all owe him a huge “thanks” for continuing his development on the N64 emulator. Sony has already beaten us to a working PSX emulator, but hopefully we can get Mario on the PSP at full speed soon enough to show all our friends that Sony and Nintendo can once again work together! The general, noticeable changes in this release include -
* Faster
* New UI
* Audio
* Various graphical fixes

-whiteone
EDIT: I have recieved a bit of news as to why i was banned. I still stand by what I have always said, GHG is a good site and even with all this I still have no problem at all with them.

The Warriors was released today. The ISO is 1.6gb and the CSO was something like 1.4gb. I relinked some vids and removed the music getting it down to 598mb. It will be posted in the ISO’s very soon. I bet someone has posted the untouched ISO in the forum by now

IGN says-
“A battle of gigantic proportions is looming in the neon underground of New York City. The army of the night numbers 100,000 strong, and tonight they’re all after the “Warriors” — a street gang wrongly accused of killing a rival gang leader. The Warriors must make their way from one end of New York to their turf on the other side of the city. All that stands between The Warriors and their survival are 20 miles and thousands of street gang members. The army of gangs owns the streets and there’s no turning back, The Warriors must fight for their lives and learn the meaning of loyalty as danger and uncertainty emerges from the city night.”

Another game seems have leaked out a bit early. I know this title isn’t due out in the US until April 17th. I’ve read on some forums that memory sticks that aren’t magic gate have some issues with the game. Just what I read. From my testing I saw very few issues. If I went off the road a tiny bit of the grass in the bottom of my screen stayed gray. Little things like that, but nothing worth complaining about. My homeboy m1v3cs has a 979mb full cso up in the forums and ISO section here currently. That doesn’t fit a 1gig stick so I ripped my copy ever so slightly have one that is 893 mb. Go grab m1v3cs’ now and look for my non RS, 2 link, 1 gig version in a couple of hours!

I’m going on a field trip with my shorty(my son) tomorrow as a chaperogne. Luckily there is no screening process so I qualified. I hate to mention it since everyone will be jealous but yes, I get to see a puppet show with 25 kids. As a result I need to get some sleep now because I will have been up for 24 hours by the time I get to sleep again. Basically, I won’t be do anything on the site or forum for the next couple of days. The forum is still continuing to flourish so if anyhting releases I’m sure it will be posted there. There are plenty of dudes that can help you with anything in the forum too. As always thanks for stopping by and happy downloading
